Where to Find Knifty Knitter Patterns on the Internet

I’ve searched the Internet for knifty knitter patterns and, not finding what I wanted, I’ve been making up my own. I’ve made a slouch hat on the knifty knitter and now I’m knitting a child’s headband. Hat patterns for the knifty knitter are very easy to find and easy to make but if you want other patterns for the circular loom, you won’t find very many.

Here are some sources for free knifty knitter patterns on the Internet:

Provocraft, maker of the knifty knitter, has 41 patterns on their websitewhich are free. It’s a fairly good selection of scarves, hats, mittens, shawls and miscellaneous circular loom patterns. Provocraft also has basic knifty knitter instructions on their website.

Bev’s Cottage has about 20 patterns for all ages, including a purse, baby hats and booties.

LoomKnitting.com has a terrific felted bowl pattern made on a knifty knitter, plus hats, scarves, socks and a cute knifty knitter bangle I hadn’t seen anywhere else.

Knitting Central.com has a huge listing of knifty knitter patterns, including one for a dog sweater! The only thing I don’t care for on Knitting Central is that you have to click on each link to see a photo and most of the time you can’t tell from the name of the pattern what it’s going to be. I end up clicking on 20 links to find on pattern I want. I guess I just prefer to see photos right up front so I know what type of pattern it is. This site also links to some basic knifty knitter instructions.

Great explanation of the U-Wrap onLoomLady at blogspot. There are also lots of knifty knitter patterns which are unique. One I really liked was the felted roses made on the knifty knitter. Terrific idea!

Long Loom Hub Pages instructions for the long loom, plus links to YouTube videos and other resources for learning more about the knifty knitter.

I just joined the Yahoo Group, Knifty Knitter’s Classroom too and if you’re looking for help with the knifty knitter, this is the place to find it! They offer tutorials and help with every aspect of working with a circular loom and you can ask questions, which makes it better than reading a book.

CafeMom also has a loom knitting group and I’ve found some nice people there, as well as some good patterns.
