Visiting Boston!
I’ve taken a break from knitting and blogging about knitting and life in Texas to take a trip to Boston. My hubby was

Boston Commons was beautiful with spring blooms!
coming to the Boston area for a workshop so I tagged along. We got here on Saturday, spent Sunday in Boston seeing the sights on the historic walking trail and yesterday visiting Minuteman National Historic Park in the morning and Salem, Mass, home of the witch trials, in the afternoon.
I’ll be able to write more about these once I get back to my own computer and can download my photos.
Boston is kind of crowded and crazy! The seafood is terrific but expensive and for a history buff like me, it’s wonderful just walking the same streets as Paul Revere and John Hancock. I studied history in college and seeing the places where our country was born is always exciting.
Minuteman Park, of course, is where the “shot heard round the world” was fired. Concord is a really picturesque town and I loved seeing Louisa May Alcott’s home. I loved Little Women as a kid.
Salem is also known for more than the Witch Trials, although of course we had to go to the Witch Museum and see the presentation. The House of Seven Gables and Nathanial Hawthorne’s home are also there. The views of the harbor are spectacular and what could be better than enjoying a bowl of Boston clam chowder while looking out at the water.

Today, my husband’s workshop started so I’m off to a nearby yarn shop to see what it has to offer.

Sounds fun! Although I hope the weather is nicer up there than it is here in PA.

Hi Carlin! No, it’s rainy where we are visiting. Luckily, we did most of our sight seeing on Sunday and Monday before the rain hit. Yesterday, it poured so I put off my visit to the local yarn shop til this afternoon.
