Take the same easy baby blanket pattern and learn to vary it using different types of yarn and embellishments. I turned a boy’s baby blanket into a girl’s blanket with pink embellishment on the edging.

Knitted Baby Photo Cocoons - Where to find a Pattern

Baby photo cocoons are a terrific idea and make a great gift. I just knitted this cute baby photo cocoon from a pattern I purchased on Etsy.com. I would highly recommend their patterns, which individual sellers have for purchase for about $4 each.
