First they were saying on television that Texas hadn’t seen snow like this since 1978 but overnight it became a “historic snowstorm!” We had about 10 inches around

our house and all day yesterday, we watched tree limbs fall from our cedar tree out back. One of the big limbs fell onto our gazebo and bent the frame, while heavy snow tore the canvas up. I’d bought a new canvas top for the gazebo but luckily hadn’t put it on yet.

Our dogs, Leo and Molly, had a great time running in snow though. They hadn’t been out for their daily walks so it didn’t take much for them to enjoy a game of chase around the back yard.

The pine tree out in front of our house lost some limbs too. At some point today, I’m going to brave the cold and walk around the neighborhood to see what’s going on. Wish I’d saved my snow boots from when we lived in Oregon!

Our daughter’s baby girl is due any day now. Hope she holds off for better weather!
