I’m busily working on knitted Christmas gifts for the family. I posted a blog entry on the knitted slouch hat I was Knitted Slouch hat for Christmasmaking and wanted to put up a photo of my progress. I’m also working on a knitted lacy scarf for another daughter.

The photo doesn’t really express the softness of this alpaca yarn but it’s great to work with and I think my daughter will love it.

I tend to have several projects going at one time and right now I’m forcing myself to focus on the knitted Christmas gifts. After that comes more baby blankets for the daughter having a baby in February.

Here’s a photo of the lacy scarf and you can find the pattern I used here.

Knitted Lacy scarfI used  this Sensations Rainbow boucle yarn I got at Joanns for this one because I loved the way the colors changed in the yarn. I bought some in red also for another scarf I have in mind.

I tend to like patterns that I can just knit along and not have to count. This pattern is very forgiving too if I make a little mistake.

I got some yarn this past weekend too for hats for the grandkids. Do you think there is enough time between now and Christmas to finish it all? Especially in light of the fact that my fingers and wrists are giving me trouble these days!
