Dropped stitch! How do those pesky mistakes happen. You’re knitting along happily and suddenly you come to a dropped stitch from your last row, or perhaps several rows back, that will unravel if not repaired.

So what’s the best way to fix a dropped stitch and save your knitting project? The important thing to remember is - don’t panic! Any knitting mistake can be fixed, even if you have to go back several rows to do it, (That’s how knitting teaches up patience-lol) I found this good video on YouTube that shows you, in nice detail, how to fix this common knitting mistake:

Here’s another great website I found with videos for fixing common knitting mistakes and they also feature other videos on basic knitting instruction. It’s called KnittingHelp.com and here’s a link to their video page KnittingHelp.com

Whenever I’m knitting, I keep a safety pin and crochet hook handy to pick up my dropped stitches. It seems, no matter how careful you might be, they seem to appear in your knitted piece.
