10% of Earnings from Spinning Alpaca Yarns is Donated to Animals
Recently I discovered a Facebook page for my local Arlington, Texas Animal Services called Friends of Arlington Animal Services. They are a very active group and network
with many rescue groups in the area. Money donated to them goes to help rescue animals and find them homes. I was wondering what I could do to help and decided that I would donate 10% of my earnings from my blog to them each month.
My own home is filled with rescued dogs and cats. At one time, I had 4 cats and 3 dogs but in recent years, several of
them ended their long and happy lives with our family. Now, we are down to 2 cats, a 2 year old named Lucy and a 15 year old named Tatem, affectionately called Tater. Our two dogs are Leo, a 12 year old Lab and Molly, a seven year old Australian Shepherd mix. All of our animals were foundlings and Molly was rescued from the county shelter when we lived in Oregon.
Donating from my earnings is a small thing but, hopefully, it will help a few dogs and cats to find happy new homes!
