New Baby Hats Knitted on a Knifty Knitter

I’ve been making many baby blankets recently and for each one, I make a baby hat on the knifty knitter. Here are some of my latest baby hats. I love using the knifty knitter as you can make a baby hat in about 3 hours using one.
I recently added the pom poms to my baby hats as well. You can see how easy it is to get different looks, depending on which yarn you use and whether or not you add embellishments.
Knifty Knitter baby hats are terrifically easy to make and, using the instructions that come with one, just about anybody can make one. Using a different size circular loom, you can make hats for kids or adults as well.
Recently, my husband and I went to California to see a new 2 month old granddaughter. While we were there, I was knitting baby blankets and, after a visit to the local Santa Cruz yarn store, my daughter said she’d like to learn to knit some baby hats for her friends. This photo is her baby, wearing the first hat she made!
It’s great being able to pass on a craft obsession to the next generation. I hope she gets years of enjoyment out of knitting and making things.
